Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world. 

Since 1999, OCCAM - Observatory on Digital Communication has been helping disadvantaged communities with e-services (telemedicine, e-learning, and food-security) creating the ICT Villages.

 Prof. Ranja Bakoli, Director of the school district of Sambiana, launched an

appeal

"OVER THE PAST YEARS, WE HAVE WORKED TO CREATE WELL-EDUCATED CITIZENS HAVING ACCESS TO THE DIGITAL WORLD AND E-WELFARE. NOW, THE COSTS  HAVE BECOME UNBEARABLE​. 

I APPEAL TO ALL OF YOU TO SUPPORT THE SAMBAINA COMMUNITY IN HELPING STUDENTS AND YOUNG PEOPLE ENTER NEW PROFESSIONS THAT ARE BENEFICIAL TO THE FOOD-SECURITY AND HEALTH OF OUR COMMUNITY"
