AT THE WORLD SUMMIT ON THE INFORMATION SOCIETY IN GENEVA

The Infopoverty Seminar will take place on December 12th in Geneva (PalaExpo Room A, starting from 9.30 a.m.) in the framework of World Summit on the Information Society (www.itu.int/wsis) at the presence of prestigious US representatives and members of International Organizations such as UNIC, FAO e IFAD.

The results of the past editions of the Conference, which led to the creation of digital villages throughout the world, are going to be presented on that occasion as well as the IV Infopoverty World Conference on the theme:

NEW FRONTIERS OF THE ICTS: SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENT

which will be focused of the broad band services for development and which will take place on April 29th and 30th 2004 in Milan (Politecnico di Milano, Università Cattolica, Ospedale S. Raffaele) in videoconference with prestigious international organizations seats.

More than 4.5 billion people are currently excluded from the digital revolution: while rich economies are slowing down, in emerging countries we see a strong and growing demand of technologies for development.
