Mission and Objectives
The Infopoverty Community of
Expertise “e-services for
development” is led by OCCAM on
the basis of the mandate of the
United Nations Global Alliance for
ICT and Development.The
Infopoverty Coe is aimed of
putting at the disposal of all
members of GAID knowledge and
best practices that will be found
and accelerate ICT applications
in order to make more and more
effective the achievement of the
MDGs.The analysis of the
theoretical aspects have been
completed through the realisation
of a series of pre-feasibility
studies, as presented and
approved at the UN Commission
on Science and Technology 2009
and 2010 and at the World
Summit on Food Security.The
Infopoverty Coe is now operating
a Platform of e-services for
development (in fields such as
telemedicine, e-learning, e-
agriculture and e-governance)
created to be used by all
stakeholders in development
projects and strategies.

UN e-MDG Consortium
The Final Declaration endorsed by the
recent 10th Infopoverty World Conference,
approved: “To develop a multi-stakeholder
UN e-MDG’s Consortium in cooperation with
the United Nations, its specializing agencies
and programs, for e-services delivery,
managed by the user countries and able to
activate and distribute e- services for
development to achieve the MDGs.”
Its activities has then be presented at the
13th session of the UN Commission on
Science and Technology for Development,
held at the Palais des Nations in May 2010
